The Via Ferrata Belay Kit from Edelrid is a dedicated belay system designed to safely assist children, beginners, or less experienced climbers on steep or technical sections of a via ferrata.

Built around an automatic self-braking belay plate, the system allows the supervising climber to control the rope efficiently while maintaining a high level of safety during ascents or exposed traverses.

Designed for Safe Assisted Climbing

The system makes it easier to belay climbers who may struggle with difficult terrain, providing controlled rope management and assisted braking to help prevent uncontrolled falls.

Complete Belay System

The kit includes a belay rope with sewn terminations at both ends, eliminating the need for additional knots. The rope ends are colour-coded to simplify setup and avoid confusion during use.

The integrated belay plate provides automatic self-braking assistance, helping maintain control while belaying.

No Extra Carabiners Required

The system is designed to be quick and intuitive to use, with no additional carabiners required for the basic setup. Everything needed to start belaying is included in the kit.

Resource-Efficient Rope Production

The belay rope is produced using leftover rope material from Edelrid’s manufacturing process, helping reduce waste and improve resource efficiency. Because of this, the rope colour may vary.

Easy Storage and Transport

A compact transport bag with instructions for use keeps the kit organised and easy to carry during via ferrata outings.
