Built by Climbers. Focused on Training.
Max Climbing started in Belgium in 2012 from a simple idea: most climbing training equipment was either too basic, too bulky, or simply not built well enough.
As climbers ourselves, we wanted better tools.
Not more products for the sake of it — but products that solve real problems. Tools that make training more accessible, more effective, and easier to integrate into daily life.
That mindset still shapes everything we do today.
We are interested in climbing training tools that are practical, effective, and genuinely useful.
Some of these are products we design ourselves. Others are products we carefully select from brands we believe in.
In both cases, the goal stays the same: helping climbers train with more structure, more precision, and less confusion.
Carefully Selected Tools
Max Climbing is proudly based in Belgium.
While some of our own products are still designed and made locally, Max Climbing has evolved beyond only producing our own equipment.
Today, a large part of what we do is carefully selecting the tools we genuinely believe in.
There is a huge amount of climbing equipment on the market, but not everything is equally useful.
We focus on finding products that actually solve a problem, fit into a real training system, and add something meaningful.
That means we do not simply want to sell more gear.
We want to help climbers understand which tools are worth using, when they make sense, and how they fit into their training.
More Than Products
For us, climbing is not only about equipment.
It is also about understanding training.
That is why Max Climbing is increasingly focused on sharing knowledge alongside products. Through our articles, protocols, and training resources, we want to help climbers understand what actually works — and why.
The goal is simple:
To help climbers make better training decisions.
Sustainability
We know climbing products still have an impact.
That is why we try to make better choices where we can.
For every order placed, we contribute to projects that plant trees, recover plastic waste, and offset CO2.
Small steps matter when they are repeated consistently.
This is me, Pieterjan
One of the reasons Max Climbing became what it is today is because I often felt frustrated by how much noise there is in climbing training.
There are endless trends, opinions, and conflicting advice.
I care more about what is actually useful in practice.
I work together with coaches, physiotherapists, route setters, and other people with real experience in climbing and training.
I do not believe one person has all the answers.
Better products and better training come from combining different perspectives: engineering, science, coaching, rehab, and real climbing experience.
That is also how I want Max Climbing to grow.
Not by following every trend, but by carefully selecting products, ideas, and training methods that genuinely help climbers improve.
