Workshop 1950 - Pinching Block Wedge (single piece)
In stock
The Workshop 19/50 Pinch Block Wedges are angled pinch training tools designed to build pinch-specific hand, thumb, and forearm strength in a more ergonomic position.
They are suited for structured pinch training with a slightly different force application compared to parallel pinch blocks.
What this solves
Standard pinch training often uses flat, parallel surfaces, which can feel less natural and place more stress on the fingertips. Some climbers benefit from a more ergonomic grip position when training pinch strength.
How this solves it
The angled wedge shape changes the grip position, allowing the fingers to stay slightly more extended. This shifts how force is applied during the pinch and can reduce fingertip dominance while still targeting pinch strength.
Why this tool
Unlike standard pinch blocks, these wedges introduce an inclined grip surface, offering a different loading pattern. This can make pinch training feel more natural and slightly less aggressive on the fingers while still allowing structured, progressive loading.
Best for
Beginner / Advanced / Expert — for climbers who want to train pinch strength in a structured way, with a slightly more ergonomic grip position.
Not ideal for
Not ideal for training strict parallel pinch strength or for directly replicating flat pinch holds.
Key features
Angled wedge design for altered pinch mechanics
Available in multiple sizes for progressive training
Compatible with loading pins, weights, and pulley systems
Compact and portable
Made from beech wood
Used with
