Description

The OptiPuller is a hand-shaped grip handle that puts most of the load on your fingertips and an open, cupped hand.
Originally built for armwrestling, it turns out to be one of the best tools around for training sloper strength off the wall.

What this solves
Slopers are hard to train in a controlled way. On the wall, friction, conditions and body position all change, and most grip tools force you into a closed, wrapped grip that has little to do with holding a sloper.

How this solves it
The rounded, hand-like shape keeps your hand open and your fingers flat. You can't wrap it, so you have to hold it with open-hand friction and fingertip pressure: the same position you need on a sloper.

Why this tool
Unlike cylinders or pinch blocks, the OptiPuller loads the cupped, open-hand position directly. On a cable station or loading pin you can set and repeat exact loads, which makes sloper strength measurable and progressive.

Best for
Intermediate / Advanced — climbers who struggle on slopers or want to add open-hand grip strength work to their training.

Key features
Hand-shaped, open-grip design
Load sits on the fingertips and palm, not a full wrap
Repeatable position for measurable progress
Also trains wrist and forearm strength
High-quality plastic construction

Used with
Cable machine
Loading pin or weights
Carabiner (not included)

Tip
Use chalk. Like a real sloper, it gets slippery with sweaty hands.

Veredicto de Max Climbing

Not built for climbing, but one of the best sloper trainers we know. The hand-shaped design forces an open, cupped grip and loads your finger flexors in exactly the position you need on slopers.

Use it isometrically, holding a set load on a cable or loading pin like a sloper, or dynamically, crushing and curling into it to train your flexors through the full range.

👉 Best for climbers who want to build real sloper strength off the wall.
