Description

The Rock Prodigy Forge is a dual-piece hangboard designed for advanced grip training with a focus on refined edge profiles and specialized grip types.
It is suited for climbers who want varied and more demanding grip positions compared to the standard Rock Prodigy boards.

What this solves
Basic hangboards may lack specific grip types such as closed crimps or more aggressive slopers. Advanced climbers often need more refined and challenging hold options.

How this solves it
The board introduces new edge profiles, steeper slopers, and a dedicated closed-crimp grip with thumb support, allowing more specific grip training within one system.

Why this tool
Compared to earlier Rock Prodigy models, this version improves grip variety and includes more relevant hold types for advanced training, especially with the addition of a true sloper and closed-crimp position.

Best for
Advanced / Expert — for climbers who want varied and more demanding grip types in a single hangboard.

Max Climbing's Verdict

The most complete board in the Trango range.

The most complete board in the Trango range.

It builds on the Training Center by adding usable slopers, making it a more balanced option overall. There are slightly fewer crimps, but still enough for effective finger strength training across different grip types. The layout feels more rounded and versatile than the original, while still keeping a strong performance focus.

👉 A solid all-round board for climbers who want a balanced mix of edges, slopers and structured training options.
