YY Vertical was founded in Grenoble, in the heart of the French Alps, with a simple mission: make belaying easier on the neck. That first innovation — comfortable belay glasses — grew into a full range of climbing gear designed around one idea: support climbers at every stage of a session, from warm-up to training, climbing, and recovery.
The range includes the VerticalBoard hangboards, built from poplar wood with a wide variety of grip types for climbers of all levels, alongside warm-up tools like the Alien hand trainer, recovery accessories, chalk bags, and climbing accessories. Every product is developed in YY Vertical's own R&D office, working closely with physiotherapists, coaches, and athletes to get the details right.
