Description

The WhiteOak Footwork Panel is a double-sided board for training precise foot placement in climbing shoes, at home or in the gym. The angle adjusts from –25° (slab) to +25° (overhang) with side knobs and a lock, without tools.

Both sides can carry their own setup, for example bigger footholds for steep work on one side and small edges for technical slab footwork on the other. A laser-engraved grid makes it easy to place holds and recreate setups.

What this solves

Footwork is one of the most important climbing skills, yet almost nobody trains it on purpose. Most home training focuses on fingers and pulling, while feet only get practice on the wall.

Why this tool

It lets you train foot precision and body tension in short, focused sessions, and it combines well with a hangboard: fingers and feet in the same workout.

Best for

Climbers of all levels who want to improve foot precision, balance and control, and coaches who want a dedicated footwork drill station.

Not ideal for

Climbers looking for a strength tool. This is a technique trainer.

Max Climbing's Verdict

Ideal for technique drills such as foot switches and precise placements, and for balance training. Standing on small footholds also builds strength in your toes and feet, something most climbers never train directly. Because the angle adjusts from slab to overhang, the same panel works for quiet, precise footwork and for keeping tension on steep terrain.

👉 Best for climbers who want to train footwork, balance and foot strength off the wall, alongside their hangboard sessions.
