Mad Rock was founded in 2002 by Young Chu, a Korean born climber who started making his own gear on his mother's sewing machine at just 16, unable to afford store bought equipment. That drive for quality without the price tag shaped the entire brand: over a million pairs of shoes sold, an ISPO Outdoor Award for the Hooker Lace design, and a commitment to producing every element in house, from rubber compounds to injection molded soles.

The range spans climbing shoes for every discipline, quickdraws, carabiners, and climbing chalk, with a philosophy that climbing should be accessible and fun for everyone, not just those who can afford premium price tags.
